Business Process Improvement & Transformation

Business Process Improvement & Transformation

Never automate a broken process — fix it first

Discuss this serviceAll services

Assessment and redesign of business processes using Lean and Six Sigma thinking. We map how work actually happens today, quantify the waste, and design a simpler target process with the controls needed to hold the gain.

Who this is for

  • Operations, service and finance functions
  • Companies preparing for automation or ERP change
  • Organisations with quality, cost or lead-time pressure

Challenges we address

  • Lead times and rework grow faster than the business
  • Approvals and hand-offs multiply without adding value
  • Automation is planned on top of a process nobody has simplified
  • Performance is not visible in a form managers can act on

Service scope

  • Process health check and prioritisation
  • As-is mapping with data (time, volume, rework, cost)
  • Waste and root-cause analysis
  • To-be process design, RACI and controls
  • Automation opportunity assessment and transformation roadmap
  • KPI and performance management design

Benefits

  • Shorter lead time and less rework on priority processes
  • A target process the team has helped design and accepts
  • A prioritised automation backlog based on real data

Methodology

  1. Diagnose — data collection, gemba walk, value-stream view
  2. Prioritise — impact vs effort, risk and readiness
  3. Redesign — to-be process, controls, roles and measures
  4. Implement — pilot, verify results, standardise, then scale

Deliverables

  • Process health-check findings and prioritisation matrix
  • As-is and to-be process maps with data
  • Root-cause analyses and improvement charters
  • Transformation roadmap, KPI set and business case

Frequently asked questions

Do you use Lean, Six Sigma or another method?

Both, as appropriate. The method follows the problem — we do not force a toolset onto a process that needs a simpler solution.

Will you recommend automation immediately?

No. Simplification comes first: automating a broken process only produces broken results faster. Automation is proposed only after the process is stable.
